Let’s cut the BS and be real. You’re following every word a guru says. You’re watching the videos, reading the emails, copying the captions, even spending money on their courses. Yet somehow, while they’re stacking leads, pulling in sales, and posting screenshots of another $10,000 day, your inbox stays dry and your commissions are still on vacation.

Why? Because you’re following what they say to do, not what they actually did to get where they are.
Most gurus aren’t lying, but they sure as hell aren’t telling you the whole story either. They give you the filtered version. The surface-level stuff that sounds good on a webinar but doesn’t actually move the needle for someone starting from scratch. They built their success when nobody knew who they were. When they had to hustle just to get one person to click a link. But now they’ve got the followers, the email list, the trust, the brand, and sometimes even the money to run paid traffic all day. You’re trying to mimic their current strategy when what you really need is to understand how they started.
Here’s another hard truth. Most people don’t execute properly. They do just enough to feel like they’re working, but not enough to actually break through. You post here and there, maybe drop a YouTube video or a link in a Facebook group, then sit back hoping for something to pop off. But the reality is, it’s not enough. The volume isn’t there. The consistency isn’t there. You’re not bringing enough real attention to your brand, and even when you do get a few eyeballs, you’re not converting them because you’re blending in with the rest of the noise.
Meanwhile, the guru doesn’t need to do half as much anymore. They’ve earned the momentum. They could whisper about a new offer and people would line up with their wallets open. You, on the other hand, have to be loud. You have to be everywhere. You have to prove yourself every single day.
Another reason you’re stuck is because you’re leading with the wrong energy. You’re showing up like a follower, not a leader. People don’t buy from followers. They buy from those who lead with conviction. They want to feel like you’re already going somewhere with or without them. And most importantly, they want to know that you’ve been through the same struggle they’re in right now. That’s your edge. That’s the part you’ve got that the guru lost when they stopped talking like a real person.
The game changes when you stop being a fan and start being the authority in your own lane. When you focus on what actually matters, getting attention, creating trust, making offers daily and drop all the gimmicky stuff that sounds good but doesn’t convert.
It is not about being perfect. It is about being consistent, being visible, and being real. You don’t need a fancy funnel or a viral reel to get paid. You need to show up with something real to say and give people a reason to believe in what you’re offering. You don’t need to outsmart the algorithm. You need to outwork your old self and keep stacking small wins until the big ones start showing up.
You want to win? Do what works, not what sounds good. Build your own machine. Use the real tools. Speak the truth. Work hard. Track your numbers. Adjust fast. Keep going.
The gurus are getting paid because they built something real. You’re not there yet, but you can be. Not by copying their current moves, but by grinding like they did when nobody knew their name.
It’s your time to flip the switch. Stop playing. Start building.
